Mark Brookes is a seasoned strategic leader in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and executive search, with a strong focus on sustainability, energy transition, and digital transformation. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in shaping organisational talent strategies, driving business expansion, and advising executive leadership across the Asia-Pacific region.
As Director – Talent Strategy Lead, APAC at PwC, Mark has been instrumental in leading the firm’s regional talent strategy, ensuring alignment with PwC’s five-year global growth plan across eleven countries. He has spearheaded succession planning, executive hiring, and future-proofing initiatives. Additionally, he has contributed to major employer branding efforts, identifying high-impact business development opportunities and securing top-tier talent for international development projects under ADB, FCDO, UKPACT, and DFAT.
Prior to his role at PwC, Mark served as a Director at CenturyTech PCS Ltd, where he provided executive search and talent consulting services to multinational organisations, including Unilever, Hutchison Ports, and Accenture, while advising on IPO strategies and talent development programs.
As APAC Talent Acquisition Director at Interpublic Group, he led executive hiring strategies across multiple global brands, enhancing employer branding and implementing a centralised shared-service recruitment model to improve talent acquisition efficiencies. His tenure at Environmental Resources Management (ERM) saw him driving partner-level hiring across APAC, ensuring sustainable business solutions through workforce mobility and global recruitment strategies.
Earlier in his career, Mark built a strong foundation in recruitment and executive search through leadership roles at Hays, Command Group, Carmichael Fischer, and Applus-Velosi, where he specialised in oil & gas, construction, real estate, engineering, and heavy industry hiring. His ability to scale operations and establish successful hybrid search models positioned him as a strategic advisor in talent acquisition.
